Give Thanks For All
Believe it or not I actually have a journal that is entitled 'Thank You'. I try to write a couple of pages per day with nothing but thanks. It is one of my morning rituals that takes approximately 15 minutes. It allows me to create a positive attitude first thing in the morning. Imagine if everyone in the world were to take 15 minutes in the morning and keep a journal of thanks. I beleive there would be much more peace in the world.
Be Thankful For Living
Although you may be thinking that you don't really have that much to be thankful for I encourage you to understand that if you are able to think about what you may have to be thankful for you surely must be alive. Being alive experiencing a human life is certainly something to be thankful for. Simple things such as being able to see, smell, touch, hear and taste are abilities many of us take for granted. Take some time out of your busy schedule each day and go out into nature and experience nature through your senses. Even if you live in the big city you are still able to go for a walk and experience the city through your amazing senses.
Simply Thankful
Be thankful for simple things. We often forget to thank God and the universe for all of the wonderful things we have. Our ability to speak and communicate with others, our ability to be mobile, our ability to love another. Remember that is the greatest gift of all, Love. Be thankful for being able to experience emotions, especially love.
Just imagine what the world would be like if we made all or our decisions from a loving attitude. I thank God for people who continuously move throughout their day in a state of love. These individuals are the spark for creating a world full of love, happiness, kindness and peace. For if there is no love there is no happiness, kindness and peace.
Spread Love To Everyone
During this holiday season work on loving everyone and everything no matter what. If you send love to a negative person you will see how that person's attitude changes immeadiately. Send love and you will recieve it in return. Give thanks for all of the people in your life including those who you would rather not have be a part of your life. These are our most coveted teachers as they teach us loving patience. Be patience and love for this is the way to a world without hate.
I thank God that I am able to imagine a world with only peace, love and joy for everyone. May you and your family have a wonderful, peaceful, joyful and loving holiday season.
