Results of Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture has its base in Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques and theory.  It's emphasis focuses on creating a healthy inner body and by doing this the outer body will mimic inner health.  By creating balance throughout the body via Cosmetic Acupuncture and increasing Chi the affects of aging such as wrinkles, sagging, color loss and dry skin can be minimized or removed completely.  Unfortunately most people don't necessarily care whether a cosmetic procedure actually improves their health or whether it is a healthy procedure. (See cosmetic procedures from the past here).

Cosmetic Acupuncture unlike medical procedures gives both the cosmetic benefit but since TCM is based on having a healthy inner body which is reflected on the outer body it also gives increased health and vitality.  Along with overall health an individual could possibly receive the following results as well.

  • reduction in fine lines or possible total disappearance.  For this reason it is highly recommended that you begin getting Cosmetic Acupuncture in your 30's!  It's a lot easier to prevent a wrinkle than it is to make it completely go away.
  • a 'leveling' of deeper lines.  Deeper lines may never go away completely but they can soften and look less harsh.
  • the beginnings of jowls can be minimized.  The Cosmetic Acupuncture procedure will not make a wattle or 'turkey neck' go away but it may define the jaw line in individuals who are just beginning to sag.
  • improved elasticity of facial muscles and improved collagen formation.  Strength and elasticity of the skin comes from a protein matrix known as Collagen.  As Collagen declines with age, skin sags and wrinkles.  Through the insertion of needles micro traumas are caused in the skin which increases the bodies natural Collagen formation.  Since the bodies wound healing involves Collagen and Elastin the skin will increase its strength and elasticity creating a much healthy foundation.  When one cuts themselves the body heals itself quite nicely.  It's the same process.
  • people see improvement in acne, rosascea and many other visible skin issues.
  • skin becomes softer and more vibrant.
  • cheeks get smoother.
  • overall skin tone becomes more consistent.  For example, if your face has lots of red, black or blue in it, this technique may reduce those colors.
  • age spots have faded in women who have experienced the procedure.
  • little hard spots...lipoma's or fat tumors have disappeared according to some individuals who have had he procedure.
  • wrinkles on the decolletage have disappeared - those vertical lines on the chest that some women get as a result of sun damage and toxic food ingestion.

I'm passionate about Cosmetic Acupuncture because not only does a person see skin results they often experience general health results.  In other words, because Cosmetic Acupuncture is Chinese Medicine, you are going to feel better as you receive the treatment.  Some of the health effects that I've heard individuals rave about include.

  • hot flashes and/or night sweats went away.
  • mild depression has been resolved.
  • mild anxiety goes away.
  • digestion is improved and this will definitely affect what is going on in the skin and on the face.
  • clients report having more energy.
  • clients report getting better sleep.
  • male impotence has cleared.
  • increased sex dive in both male and females have been reported.

Each session a client's Chi gets balanced to create optimal energy flow throughout all of the meridians which in turn fortifies the organs.  With proper energy to the organs they are able to do their job much easier and create over all health throughout the entire body.

I'm passionate about doing Cosmetic Acupuncture because I feel it is a better avenue to treat the entire person.  What do I mean by this?  Most people will go to an acupuncturist with a symptom.  Those individuals expect the acupuncturist to alleviate the symptom.  Much like if they were to go to a medical doctor they would expect the doctor to prescribe them a drug to get rid of a symptom.  With Cosmetic Acupuncture clients come in with symptoms but I really don't worry about the symptoms because I'm not treating them.

I'm treating the entire person.  I'm balancing and increasing the flow of Chi throughout all of the meridians which in turn allow their body to heal any organ ailment they may have.  With the organs healed they are free to do their natural job of ensuring optimal health throughout the entire body.  With optimal health the body is processing nutrients to create a better body.  Remember every 7 years one has essentially a new body.

I have a new body?  Then why is that every year I look older and older?  Excellent question.  The best answer happens to be when we are growing up we make poor decisions such as eat toxic foods, stay in the sun and burn our skin, bath in chlorinated or fluoridated water and use cosmetic products that contain horrible chemicals.  We slowly damage our inner body to the point of disease and it begins to reflect in our skin.  As we grow older we get set in our ways and decide it is too much work to change our habits.

By not changing our toxic habits we pile in the toxins that decrease the functionality of our organs which are reflected in our skin.  It's a never ending diabolical spiral.

With Cosmetic Acupuncture I am able to increase the energy to the sickly organs.  Is this enough?  I will affect change with a client continuing their toxic ways however, if I educate them on the proper diet, exercise and cosmetic facial products the wonderful results increase ten fold.

With that type of increase many people have experienced miraculous changes not only in the health of their skin but their entire body.  I would encourage anyone interested in Cosmetic Acupuncture to check back frequently as there will be many more articles in the near future on this subject.  Further if you have any questions don't hesitate to leave a comment below.
